Background
HSP90 is a molecular chaperone that promotes the maturation, structural maintenance and proper regulation of a wide range of target proteins involved in many essential physilogical functions. It undergoes a functional cycle that is linked to its ATPase activity which is essential for its chaperone activity. Aberrantly high expression of HSP90 has been found in in multiple cancers.
